Farmhouse, now house. C17, enlarged in early C19, with recent extension (which
is not of special interest). White-painted roughcast on brick, with some timber
framing in the rear range; red tile roof, roughcast chimneys. Now double-depth
plan formed by C17 2-unit range with C19 addition to the front (recent
extension at right-hand end). The C17 range to the rear is 1½ storeys, but the
addition to the front is 2 storeys and 3 bays, symmetrical, with large canted bay
windows in the 1st and 3rd bays at ground floor, three 16-pane unhorned sashes
at 1st floor, and gable chimneys. Entrance now by doorway in right-hand end of
this range. The 1½-storey rear range has a bay window at ground floor and
dormer windows of 2 and 3 lights. Interior: the former housepart in the rear
range has a spine-beam and joists with cyma-stopped chamfer, and a common-
rafter roof with clasped puffins and 2 windbraces.
