Circa 1827 corner building on site of C18 inn with later C19 addition on east
side. 4 storeys. 2 windows with 1 window bowed corner and 1 window return; 3
window gabled extension. Slated roof. Grit stone squared rubble. Recessed
sash windows some with glazing bars; extension with segmental arched opening
with keys and plain surrounds. Corner building with wooden public house frontage
to ground floor with pilasters carrying entablature. Interesting interior retaining
Victorian features and fittings with 2 sulphur springs in the wine cellar.
Nos 1 to 5 (odd) form a group.
