House. Later C18, altered in mid C19. Red brick ground floor, with plain
and fish-scale tile-hanging in bands above. Wooden side battens.
Some mathematical tiling on right return front, (to Castle Gate). Moulded
wooden cornice and coped parapet hiding roof. 1 dormer. 3 storeys and
attic; 2 window front, top opening casements on second floor, glazing bar
sashes on first floor and sashes without glazing bars on ground floor. Doric
columned porch with entablature-hood and 6-panelled door. 3 window front to
Castle Gate.
