Barn. Probably 2nd half of C18. Brick. Stone slate roof. Two storeys.
5 internal bays. Central, basket-arched cart entry. Square ground-floor
pitching hole to left with lst-floor doorway above. Two high-level pitching
holes to right. Symmetrical arrangement of ventilation slits.
Rear: opposed, part-blocked, cart-entry. Within a later addition on the
right is the site of a former horse engine.
Interior: 4 principal rafter trusses with an intermediate collar, mostly
patched-up. Remains of winding gear etc. from the horse engine, survive at
the left end at high level. Included for group value.
