Haigh Hall farmhouse

GV II

Former stable range, now farm building. Early to mid C18. Thinly coursed
rubble with quoins. Corrugated asbestos roof. Two storeys, five internal
bays. Segmental-headed, quoined cart entrance to left. Three quoined stable
doors to right with deep lintels (the centre door part-blocked). Two later
windows. Four 2-light double-chamfered windows to first floor (mullions
removed) and one later window. Hipped roof. Rear: Double-chamfered windows
at ground-floor level of 3, 2 & 2 lights. Right gable has a later first
floor doorway up stone steps.

Interior: Brick-lined. Four fish-bone king-post roof trusses with further
small struts at angles of truss. One has inscribed tie-beam: "JH 1754".
