Farmhouse now 2 dwellings. Early and mid C18; early C19 addition and later
alterations. Rubble sandstone, partly roughcast, pantile roofs. T-shaped plan
with No 46 occupying wing to rear and No 44 in front range having early C19
addition on left. No 44: 2 storeys originally 3 windows to 1st floor. Large
quoins project beneath roughcast. 6-panel door in raised ashlar surround with
consoled cornice, flanking 4-pane sashes with projecting sills and keystones
to flat arches. 1st-floor band beneath 2 similar windows, blocked central window
has only its keystone visible; renewed brick end stacks. Single-storey addition
on left has squared rubble walling with 4-pane sash and with kneelers and gable
copings on left. Right return: No 46 has 2 double-chamfered mullioned windows
of 2 lights to 1st floor, end stack. Left return: No 46 has blocked 2-light
mullioned window and another with mullion removed. C20 lean-to to rear of No
46 not of special interest.
