7/142 Old Townsend Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C17. Rendered and painted stone facade and brick
structure. Slate roof. Two storeys and attics, 3 bays. Central
through hall and rear wing to right bay forming 'L' plan, with
later lean-to structures against front block. Central gabled porch
of stone with moulded outer opening and reset 6-panelled inner
door. High plinth and stone dripmould. Stone ovolo moulded 3-
light windows to ground and first floors, but left ground floor
window replaced in timber. Windows to side elevation have slight
hollow chamfer and label moulds with square terminals to dropped
ends. Roof hipped with two gabled and leaded dormers. Flues from
front reception rooms either side of hall gathered to central
brick stack. Interior not seen.
