5/13 Gate piers, gates and attached
railings to front of Avon House
GV II
Gate piers, gates and attached dwarf walls and railings. Early
C19. Limestone ashlar gate piers and dwarf walls, cast-iron gates
and spear-headed railings. Gate piers have recessed panel to each
side, key pattern frieze and weathered arched tops. Cast-iron
gates with spear-heads and key pattern. Dwarf walls have weathered
coping and spear-headed railings, with similar gate in railings to
right. Walls and railings included to left of main gates for
approximately 6 metres and continuously to right of main gates and
returning to right side of Avon House (q.v.).
