An early C19 brick fronted house (painted) with a return frontage on Chapel Street (marked No 1 Chapel Street on the map). It has an older core with exposed beams on the interior. Two storeys. Three window range on the east front and 4 window range on the north front, double-hung sashes with glazing bars in plain reveals with stuccoed flat arches. The east front has a 6-panel door with a doorcase with panelled reveals, pilasters and cornice. The roof to the block facing High Street is tiled (old tiles) and the roof to the block facing Chapel Street is slate, hipped.
