NE of Foxhills Farmhouse

Stables and granary. Probably early C18 and early C19. Marlstone rubble with
squared dressings; marlstone ashlar; corrugated-asbestos and Welsh-slate roofs.
Earlier single-storey stable range has 2 doorways and 2 small slatted windows.
Later 2-storey ashlar range, set back to right, has a doorway and a slatted
window plus, to extreme right, a 3-centred archway with projecting keyblock and
imposts. Steps adjoining stable range lead to a first-floor doorway with, to
right, a 9-pane window. Dog kennel under steps has an arched entrance and
retains its door. Right end wall of granary range is in brick. Left end wall of
stables has a crude 3-row dovecote. Interior: stables have crossed-apex trusses
with through purlins carried on pegs. Included for group value.
