At south end of railings to Main Entrance to Royal Botanic Gardens. At north end of railings to Main Entrance to Royal Botanic Gardens. On Green between Herbarium and gates to Royal Botanic Gardens.

2. Early C19 cast-iron gas lamp standards adapted for electricity. Typical standard has a square tapering and horizontally furrowed base with a GIIIIR monogram (WIIIIR on the one at the north end of the Main Entrance railings), supporting an octagonal column with 3 swan-neck brackets carrying a round, pagoda-topped lantern. On the base of each standard are cast the letters T.E.D.G.E.
