Farmhouse, now 2 cottages. Early C18, remodelled late C18/early C19 and extended
C20. Coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels; Stonesfield-slate roofs with
stone and brick gable stacks. 3- or 4-unit plan altered to two 2-unit cottages
with later additions. 2 storeys. Left by of 4-window front is the earliest and
has leaded cross windows; later bays include adjacent plank doors and leaded
casements (2-light in the right bay and single-light above the doors). To left
and right C20 end outshuts break forward with stone-ball gable finials. Rear
includes remains of a chamfered stone window surround. Interior: limewashed
chamfered beams and joists. Formerly Mansion House farm, in existence by 1767.
