Terrace of houses. 1825, for the Society of Friends, whose lease expired 1924. Brown brick with slate roofs to front, slate and pantiles to rear. No.77 (at north end) occupied by the builder of the terrace and has 3 bays, restored and split into flats 1970 by DK Waite. Its north return has a 2-storey bay window. Otherwise each house of 3 storeys in 2 bays, some with 2 window bays but most with a blind window bay over doors. 4-centred entrance to passage to rear between Nos 65 and 66, marked by a discrete pediment in roof. Ground floor of No 60 (south end) has double-fronted shopfront. String course above first floor. Gabled roof, hipped to north and south ends. Stacks at division of properties. Fielded and panelled doors set to left of each house within arched doorcase enclosing a geometric fanlight. Windows are sashes, with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches, most of which are original. Each house has railings and gates to front, on low brick walls, entirely of 1989, but to original pattern.
