Terraced houses with shop additions. Late C18 with C19 shop
fronts. Brown brick set in Flemish bond, mansard roof of Welsh
slate. Four storeys, two-window range. Shop-front to no 96 has
left-hand entrance and a window of four bays with slim metal
columns of barley-sugar form; pilaster and console to
right-hand end, fascia and dentil cornice; no 98 has entrance
to right and two round-arched bays divided by similar slim
barley-sugar columns, reeded pilasters, and fascia and cornice
continued from no 96. Upper windows flat-arched with gauged
brick heads; parapet. Two pedimented dormers. The upper
storeys appear much rebuilt. Included for group value.
