GV II

2 small town houses with later shops. Mid C19. Stucco on
probable rubble; rag slate roof with polygonal end on left;
brick stack on right. Double-depth corner site plan. 2
storeys; 3-window range and canted 2-window range return into
Dockey on left. Original 12-pane hornless sashes to 1st floor.
Late C19 irregular double shopfront to left of Westgate Street
front with end pilasters; return lights to splayed doorway
left of centre with pilaster on its left and slender turned
mullion on its right; bracket heads to form arched lights and
moulded entablature with round-arched consoles over pilasters,
and fascia; C20 three-light transomed shop window towards
right and blind window over round-arched house doorway at far
right with 6-panel door and fanlight with coloured glass.
Return into Dockey has late C19 three-light transomed shop
window to splayed corner, segmental arched lights with sunk
spandrels and end pilasters with consoles flanking fascia and
moulded cornice which continues to left over former shop front
with similar pilasters now partly blocked and with C20 door on
its left. INTERIOR not inspected.
