House. c1600. Timber-framed and rendered, roofed with flat
factory made tiles. One and a half storeys. Long rectangular
range of 3 cell. 3 window range of C20 wooden casements with
top opening lights. 2 dormer windows with C20 wooden casements
and gable window to W. Off centre stack and minor stack in E
gable (both restored). Boarded front door in line with
principal stack. INTERIOR: said to have exposed square section
ceiling joists in each of the 3 rooms bearing carpenters
marks. Plan and fireplace position imply a central hall and
unheated room to W which once incorporated a dairy. At E a
heated parlour with a heated chamber above. Rear C20 porch and
glazed door and ground floor lean-to.
