House, now offices. c1770-1800. Flemish-bond brick, stone
coping to parapet, cornice, stepped voussoirs and doorcase,
C20 raised mansard roof with dormer, zig-zag tiles and brick
stacks to gable ends. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys with attic
and basement; 3-window range. Set slightly back from adjacent
houses. Some crown glass; 3/3-pane sash windows to second
floor, 6/9-pane sashes to first floor which has a rectangular
balcony with wrought-iron railings and traces of some lead
ornaments, and 6/6-pane sashes to ground floor. 6-panel door
to left has raised-and-fielded panels to the top and beaded
panels to the base set in semicircular reeded arch with
keystone and reeded imposts. Flat brick arches to C20 basement
windows and door. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES:
pointed railings with urn finials front basement area and
flank path across it to door. Part of a fine late Georgian
square, built on the site of Bridgwater Castle.
