adjoining No.6 (No.6 not included)

Gateway. Medieval, dated 1365 according to C20 date plaque.
Red sandstone ashlar arch set in local stone rubble. Carriage
entrance. The arch was retained and incorporated into a new
building when Speedwell House was demolished in 1935. It is a
large 2-centred arch with chamfered surround.
