Water conduit. Dated 1519, probably refurbished in C19, plaque
recut in late C20. Snecked local limestone with sandstone
detail, mended with concrete. Round-headed alcove provided for
tap and drain (both now blocked) at ground level, set in
oblong block of masonry. Above the alcove is a recut sandstone
plaque representing the town seal and the date 1519. Sandstone
cornice above mended with concrete and the top is obscured
with ivy, hiding parapet.
