Grammar School, now part of Garswood R.C. Infants School and used as
Public Library. Founded 1588. Stone with slate roof. 2 storeys, 3
bays. Weathered base. Ground floor cross windows with double-
chamfered mullions and transoms. 1st floor 2-light mullioned
windows. South facade has C20 low 3-bay projection, 2 bays with
gables. C20 entrance to east gable end has cross window above, and
plaque: "THE/GERARD/INFANTS SCHOOL/1902". West gable end has 2 brick
buttresses and stone stack. Interior has 1st floor removed and inserted
ceiling.
