GV II

House at end of street row. Probably C18 but much early C19 modification,
including roof. Squared and coursed limestone in varied thick and thin beds or
rubble, squared rubble plinth, plain tile roof with fish-scale tiles to lowest
courses; 3 ridge stacks, 2 of these in C18 bricks. Main front lies well below
C20 street level; first part, right, 2 storeys and 3 windows all 2-light
small-pane casements, those to ground with thin central mullion; central 6-panel
fielded door under C20 flat-roofed porch. Plain rubble wall section left with
two 2-light casements, and beyond a higher section with pair of plank doors to
keyed segmental head, and 2 casements. The party division between this and
Ridge House (q.v.) is not clear. Back had various 12-pane and 16 -pane sashes,
and two 3-light C20 casements. Small pointed light between 1 and 2 at upper
floor. C20 door to lean-to porch, and further doorway to right.
