Memorial to Benjamin Nicholls, founder of Nicholls Hospital
charity school (d.1877). Polished grey granite. Square plan.
Base of 2 chamfered steps, tapered pedestal with a raised
triangular-headed panel to each side, top with simpified
pediments and acroteria surmounted by draped urn. Inscribed
epitaph on east side. Included for group value.
