Attached house, now part of hotel. 1796. By William Paty.
Render with limestone dressings, party wall stacks and pantile
mansard roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. 3
storeys, attic and basement; 3-window range. Originally a
full-height 2-window block with left-hand single-storey
section, now all 3 storeys, with pilasters to a cornice and
parapet. Plain left-hand doorway, 6/6-pane sashes, 3/3-panes
to second floor, and paired on the ground floor. INTERIOR not
inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: good wrought-iron attached
front basement area railings and gates with leaves. Planned as
part of a terrace of 14 houses and known as Prince of Wales's
Crescent.
