Houses, now shop and dwellings. C18. Roughcast brick; brick;
old plain tiles; brick end stack to right. 3-storeys and
cellar; 6-window range: 6/6 sashes in broad moulded cases,
under segmental arches, to 1st and 2nd floors, with storey
band between; brick modillion eaves. To left, square headed
passage to rear; C20 half-glazed door in C19 moulded case with
moulded flat hood on corbelled consoles and plain pilasters;
late C19 shop window with fascia board between consoles on
plain pilasters, and plate glass; C20 door (to No.45) and
frame, in C19 case with moulded flat hood on consoles and
plain pilasters, and to right, 6/6 sash in moulded,
round-headed case under segmental arch. Right returned side
faced in C19 brick. Rear of rubble and brick with two C19
casements to 2nd floor, and C20 horizontal casement in altered
opening to 1st floor. Gable of 2-storey wing to rear of No.45
has massive principal rafter with trenched purlin. Rear of
No.45 displays some timber-framing with brick infill. 2- and
3-storey wings to rear: brick; plain tiles and slates; brick
stack; two C18 sashes to 1st floor; tall, early C19 light with
glazing bars to 2nd floor.
