School. 1896. Coursed rubble stone with ashlar dressings, slate roofs with coped ashlar
gables, kneelers and ball finials. Vernacular Revival style. Entrance front has single storey
central block with hipped roof and a central stack, either side are entrance porches each
with moulded, segmental arch doorways and raised, coped parapets with plaques inscribed
GIRLS and BOYS. Behind the large central gable has a large 6-light stepped cross
mullion window. The left gable has a 4-light mullion window and the right gable has a
pair of large 4-light cross mullion windows. The main roof is topped with a square
wooden cupola with pyramidal slate roof, and to the rear an octagonal ventilator with
decorative cover. The classrooms also retain original ventilators on their roofs. At the west
corner a wooden covered playground.
