Two cottages. No. 4 earlier C19, No. 5 later C18. Coursed squared
sandstone, and coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, respectively; stone
slate roofs. Rectangular double-depth plan, 2 storeys, 2 bays and one bay
respectively. No. 4 almost symmetrical, with plain doorway offset slightly
right of centre, 2 windows on each floor, 2 lights at ground floor to right
but otherwise all 3 lights, with flat-faced flush-mullions and plain
surrounds. Chimneys at left gable and right junction. No. 5 has plain
doorway to left, a formerly 3-light window on each floor, with plain
surrounds but altered glazing, and an inserted window at 1st floor above the
door. Item listed for group value.
