Two houses. Late C18 or early C19. Timber-framed with the
upper 2 storeys of painted shiplap boarding over pebbledashed
ground floor. Gabled clay plain tile roofs with gable end
stacks. 3 storeys. Originally a symmetrical handed pair with
central pedestrian yard access. As built each house had a
vertical band of double-hung sashes with small panes, that to
second floor of No.20 is now a wider 2-light casement. Two C20
hardwood doors with moulded surround and similar to central
passage entrance. This has flanks of large painted boards.
Each unit has narrow winder stair.
