Shown on O.S. map as Lymes Cottage.
Lodge. Mid-C19. Coursed rock-faced yellow sandstone and ashlar dressings;
fishscale tiled roofs with raised stone verges. Roughly 'L'-shaped in
plan with service building to rear. 2 storeys; 2-light mullioned
windows with patterned cast-iron casements. throughout; prominent
projecting gabled porch with elliptical arch and Sneyd family coat-of-arms
over, in angle between main range and right gable; the left-hand gable
end has a canted bay projection on the ground floor; sandstone ridge
stack with rectangular brick shafts to main range and to the rear an
integral lateral stack with paired ashlar shafts and common moulded
capping, corbelled at first floor level. Abutting the gable to the
rear a single-storeyed brick service building with cast-iron kitchen
range.
