Houses, now houses and offices. Early C19 with early C20
additions. Brick; stone plinth; hipped slate roof; 2 brick
stacks to front.
EXTERIOR: symmetrical 3 storeys and cellars; 4-window range:
6/6 sashes with stone sills, under segmental arches, to 1st
and 2nd floors; brick modillion eaves.
Central entrances: half-glazed doors under timber gable porch
with 2 bays to each side; slate verandahs. Entrance to end
units at sides, with porticos on fluted columns, and single
sashes over, in round-headed recesses.
INTERIOR: No.59: dogleg staircase with stick balusters and
swan neck rail, to 2nd floor. 2nd floor: two 4-panel doors;
C19 hob-grate with slate and wood surround; wall cupboard with
2-panel door. 1st floor: 6-panel doors with architraves;
architrave to window; late C19 fireplace with slate surround.
Ground floor: fireplace with slate surround; 6-panel doors
with architraves; range with cast-iron surround; marble
fireplace with hand painted tiles.
No.61: dogleg staircase with stick balusters, turned newels
and swan neck rail. 2nd floor: C19 cast-iron fireplace; wall
cupboard. 1st floor: two C19 cast-iron fireplaces; wall
cupboard; architraves. Ground floor: early C20 fireplace with
wood surround; picture rails; C19 "marble" fireplace; 3 plank
doors. Cellar: brick-lined.
No.63: dogleg staircase with stick balusters and turned
newels. 2nd floor: cast-iron fireplace; two 4-panel doors with
architraves; wood fireplace; architraves. 1st floor: 4-panel
and 6-panel doors, with architraves. Ground floor: 6-panel
door with overlight; picture-rail; 4-panel door; inserted
tiled marble fireplace; 2 part-glazed 6-panel doors;
architraves. Cellar: brick-lined.
