Public house. c1830, with later C19 and C20 alterations.
Renewed rendered front and ashlar dressings, with slate roof
and 2 brick gable stacks. Plinth, string course, moulded eaves
cornice, 2 fire insurance plaques. Angled convex front. 3
storeys plus attics; 4-window range of plain sashes with
projecting stone surrounds to the first and second floors.
Above, 2 gabled dormers with traceried barge-boards and
finials and 2-light casements. Ground floor has central
moulded round-arched doorcase with blank fanlight and moulded
4-panel door. On either side, a pair of wooden-framed cross
casements with flanking pilasters, under a common cornice. To
left, another round-arched doorcase with plain fanlight and
4-panel door.
