Offices, formerly housing. Early C19. Painted roughcast, painted stone cornice and cills, and pantile roof hipped to the front, behind the parapet. Double-depth plan with extension to the right. 3 storeys; 3-window range to the main block. The range to the left, on the corner, is a slightly recessed convex curved bay; the dentilled cornice and the parapet follow the contour. 3/6-pane sash windows to the second floor, 6/6 panes to the first floor and late C19 horned plate-glass sashes to the ground floor. The convex double doors on the left-hand bay are each 3-panel. The extension to the right is lower than parapet of main block, 3 storeys; 2-window range. 2 small 2-light casement windows to the second floor, 6/6-pane sashes to the first floor and one mid C19 plate-glass margin-pane sash to the ground floor. C20 metal-framed windows to second floor of right return. Single-storey, two-bay range to north of C18 brick (now rendered) with pantile roof. Rear wall incorporates part of C13 castle wall (qv). INTERIOR not inspected.
