Town house forming part of pair (with No.27 Manor Street,
q.v.). c.1805-10. Red brick in Flemish bond, with sandstone
dressings and hipped slate roof. Narrow single-fronted plan
with back extension. Three storeys and cellar, 3 windows; with
stone plinth and wooden modillioned eaves cornice.
Round-headed doorway to left, with set-in doorcase of engaged
Tuscan columns, panelled door and fanlight with radiating
tracery; two 12-pane sashed windows to the right, 3 tall
15-pane sashes to 1st floor, and two 9-pane sashes to 2nd
floor (formerly 3, but that in the centre removed and replaced
with matching brickwork except for its head), all these
windows with raised sills and flat-arched heads of gauged
brick. Tall chimney to right-hand gable. Interior not
inspected. Continued to left is returned side of No.27 Manor
Street (q.v.); and attached to right hand side is No.29
(Milford House, q.v.).
