GV II

Town house. Mid/late C18. Local Elvan rubble with granite
lintels except for elliptical arch over carriageway entrance
on left; steep scantle slate roof with projecting eaves; brick
stack on right. Overall U-shaped plan including rear wing at
right-angles on right and carriage house returned parallel at
rear. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Original 12-pane hornless
sashes with thick glazing bars to 1st floor with windows
closer on right; doorway, right of middle with late C19
four-panel door. Left-hand return within carriageway has
boarded-up doorway with early C19 patterned overlight.
Elevation of adjoining wing facing into courtyard is painted
rubble; 2 early C19 hornless sashes with glazing bars to 1st
floor. Mid/late C18 carriage house has original 1st-floor
windows with thick glazing bars on left and shuttered window
over wide elliptically-arched carriage doorway on right with
original Gothic-style overlight and pair of planked doors.
INTERIOR not inspected but likely to be of interest.
