TAMWORTH

GV II

House. Late C18 or early C19, range to right possibly earlier.
Stucco with some exposed stone rubble; tile roofs with brick
end stacks. Gable facing, front to left. 2 storeys;
symmetrical 3-window range, with lower 2-window range to
right. Ground and 1st floor sill bands. Entrance has doorcase
with fluted pilasters, frieze and cornice, overlight with
decorative glazing bars and 6-panel door. Windows to ground
floor have 12-pane sashes, 9-pane sashes to 1st floor windows;
range to right has exposed rubble to right end and 16-pane
sashes. Rear similar, 1st floor windows have 3/4-pane sashes;
large single-storey C20 addition under hipped roof. Interior
not inspected.
