Water works building. 1857. T. Duncan.Snecked stone. 2
storeys and 2 x 1 bays. Quoins, top bracketed cornice and
high parapet with blind arcade. South facade has ground
floor with round windows. 1st floor has round-headed
recesses with tripartite windows and stepped round-headed
lights above. North facade has 2 round-headed rusticated
recesses with 2 round-headed lights and roundel. Enclosed
porch with rusticated quoins and cornice. Round-headed
windows and entrance. Chimney adjoins north west angle with
2 stages of blind lancets and bracketed cornices and
antefixae to both. Adjoining block to north of one storey
and 3 bays have quoins and top frieze cornice and blocking
courses; hipped slate next. 3 windows of 2 round-headed
lights and roundel under round relieving arch.
