Pigsties, atttached wall and swill kitchen (or furnace house).
Wall probably early C19, buildings added to wall probably mid
C19. Killas rubble with granite dressings; grouted scantle
slate roofs; brick stack to one end of swill kitchen. Small
rectangular buildings facing each other across a yard wall and
linked on one side with an older yard wall which forms one
side wall and the rear wall of each building. Single-storey
buildings. Pigsties have 2 feeding hatches flanked by 2
doorways; swill kitchen has doorway and a small window; old
ledged doors. INTERIOR: Pigsties have original cobbled floor,
slate partitions, granite troughs and roof structure; swill
kitchen has original roof structure with tie-beam trusses.
