Two shops. C17 with later alterations. Timber frame with later
brick infill and some stone rubble; tile roof with brick end
stack. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Entrances have C20 glazed
doors. Segmental-headed windows to ground floor have C20
small-paned glazing; 1st floor has 2 small-paned casements.
Ground floor has underbuilding with wall post to right end;
1st floor has square framing with tension braces; rubble to
left end is end of wall to rear of No 9 (q.v.), part of the
medieval deanery. Rear has gabled additions. Interior:
chamfered beams and timber-framed partition walls; winder
staircases.
