Pair of houses. Mid C19. Solid rendered walls. Slate roof,
hipped to right. Old red-brick chimney on each gable-wall. 3
storeys; 2-window range, but fenestration is generally
erratic. Paired doorways in centre of ground storey; chamfered
and stopped jambs, continuous cornice on enriched consoles;
6-panelled doors. Whole front flanked by raised cement quoins.
Entablature at sill-level in second storey. Bead-moulded board
below the eaves. Ground-storey windows plain with plain
sashes; triple ones to left. Upper-storey windows have shaped
cement surrounds; those in second storey and at left-hand end
of third storey have barred sashes in box-frames, 6-paned,
except for 8-paned ones to left of second storey. No 6 has
only a blind window in third storey; No 7 has 2 open ones,
that to right wholly unglazed at present. INTERIOR not
inspected.
