Houses. Mid C18. Stucco, and roughcast (to No.8); Welsh slate
roof to right, turnerized to centre; graduated slates to left;
2 cross-axial brick ridge stacks. 3 storeys; 7-window range:
8/8 sashes with some old glass; 4/8 sashes over; fenestration
to right (No.8) in rendered architraves with sillbands;
bracketed eaves. Central entrance to No.9: C19 panelled
double-doors and ornate margin-glazed fanlight, under open
pediment moulded wood hood on spiral-fluted Doric pilasters;
to right, three 8/8 sashes; to left, two 8/8 sashes and C19
six-panel door and margin-glazed overlight, with moulded
reveals, and fluted architraves, under moulded wood flat hood
on scrolled brackets. Right returned side: two 8/8 sashes,
with 4/8 sash over; rendered architraves and sillbands;
bracketed eaves; central late C19 part-glazed panelled door,
and margin-glazed overlight, in moulded case, under wood flat
hood with panelled soffit on brackets. Coursed rubble wing to
right: three 6/6 sashes under ashlar flat arches; two 4/8
sashes and blocked opening, over. Carriageway to rear, under
concrete lintel, and, to right, blocked opening and C20 light,
under ashlar flat arches. Attached area gates and railings:
C19 cast-iron railings and gate piers; lattice-work piers and
acorn finials, on rubble dwarf walls, enclosing steps and
area.
