Terraced houses. c.1840. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond,
stucco dressings, roofs obscured by parapet. Three storeys
over basement, two windows each; nos 70-76 stepped forward
slightly. Basement and ground floor stuccoed, the ground floor
decorated with chamfered rustication and vermiculated
keystones over openings. Steps up to round-arched entrance
with Greek Doric half-columns carrying cornice except on nos
68 and 82 which have been mutilated and nos 78-80 which have
pilaster-jambs; fanlight (blocked at no 80), and panelled
doors of original design to nos 64-68, 78 and 82. Ground-floor
windows round-arched to nos 64-68 and 78-82, flat-arched to
the rest, with balconies, and window guards to all except nos
68 and 82. Stucco terminates at first-floor sill band. All
upper windows flat-arched with gauged brick heads. 6/6 sashes
of original design to nos 64 (ground floor), 66 (ground
floor), 68 (first and second floor), 70, 72 (ground floor), 78
(first floor), 80 (first and second floor), 82 (first and
second floor). Moulded stucco cornice and parapet. Evidence of
rebuilding at nos 64-68 and 80. Cast-iron railings to area;
overthrows to nos 64-66 and 80-82.
