Coach house to Brome House

GV II

Stabling with central coach house, accommodation and dovecot.
Late C18 or early Cl9. Built of coursed stone blocks with
stone galleting. Tiled roof. 1:2:1 storeys, the centre with
gable. Principal elevation faces inwards with dove-holes and
weathervane to apex, arched windows to gable. Central loading
door to 1st floor flanked by arched leaded light windows and
double doors. Stabling ranges have each one similar arched
window and an arched doorcase with wooden gothick fanlight.
The street elevation has a central 1st floor arched window
with wooden shutters and a ground floor arched window.
Interior has 2 stall partitions to left-hand stable, early C19
cast-iron fire surround with duck's nest grate and roof with
ridge piece, staggered purlins and collar beams.
