House. Late C16 or early C17 extensively altered in C19
following a fire. Built of Isle of Wight coursed stone rubble
with slate roof with C19 brick chimneystacks. 2 storeys 4
windows. Stone 2 light mullioned window; some extended in C19.
Ground floor has 2 buttresses and obtusely pointed doorcase.
Gable end has kneelers and mullioned windows. Deep plinth. The
name is derived from the De Morvilles, owners before the
Worsleys of Appuldurcombe.
