Converted cottage range incorporating some remains possibly dating from
the early C16 or before. These may have formed part of outlying Abbey
buildings, and include a stone arch on the garden side, remains of a stone
stair (disused) fireplace lintol and some stud and panel partitions. The
stone mullioned windows, mostly altered, originally had segmental or 3-centred
heads to lights. Of later date internally is a niche with shell head (circa
1690). There are recent additions by Gordon Hake, FRIBA, architect. The
front is a long, 2-storey, stone rubble range on a slight curve. Plaintile
roof. Some stone window frames remain, the others are moder casements
with leaded lights. 6 windows above, 8 below.
