1901, by T W F Newton and Cheattle for Smith Priestly. Brick and stone, green
slate roof. In an Arts and Crafts style. Three storeys plus basement and attic;
3 bays separated in the first and second floors by giant pilasters, the outer ones
to be oddly deduced, as it were, from the half-capitals. Ground floor of stone,
pilastered and with 2 windows and a heavy porch with a parapet as exceedingly deep
as is the stone band at first and second floor levels. First and second floors each
with 3 windows. All windows sashes with glazing bars. Inside bracketted cornice and
parapet with upswept ends. In the roof 3 dormer sash windows with flat heads.
Splendid iron railings of excellent design with overthrow to the area stairs.
Nothing inside. One of an important group of houses.
