4/151 Whitcombe Farmhouse

Farmhouse. c.1700. Brick walls in Flemish Bond. Slate roof with stone
gable copings. Square stone stacks with cornices at left and right hand
gables. Stone flashings. 2 storeys and inserted C20 dormers. 3-light
stone mullions (square with beading). C19 cast-iron casements. No labels.
3 tension-bars, scrolled to first floor windows. Front door, wooden with
9 glass panels, C20. Stone surround with similar beaded moulding. Simple
open stone pediment. Continuous outshut at rear with stone gable-copings
and rubble stone rear wall. Extensions to house at left and right hand
ends. Dairy and Granary. Interior: flagstone floors. Fireplace at
east end, has a wooden lintel with a slight chamfer, stopped. Stone
fireplace at west end, has square jambs and a stone lintel over.
