Farmhouse. Mid/late C17. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled concrete tile roof;
stone ridge stack. L-plan with short rear left wing extended in C19. 2 storeys;
4-window range. Timber lintels over C20 window in blocked doorway to left of
centre and C20 windows to right. Timber lintels over C17 two-light chamfered
wood-mullioned window with iron opening light to centre of first floor, and C18
three-light wood-mullioned casements with iron opening lights. Similar C17
window to left gable and 2 similar C17 three-light windows to rear. Main entry
is to mid C19 extension to rear left, further altered in C20. Interior:
stop-chamfered beams, quartered to main first and ground floor rooms on left;
panelled shutters and mid C19 doors; C17 winder stairs to attic, which has
collar-truss roof with butt purlins. Subsidiary feature: mid C19 granary to
right, of limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and hipped Welsh slate roof;
2-storey, 3-window range with timber lintels over door and openings, and iron
loading-jib next to loft door; fire insurance plaque; 5-bay king-post roof.
