6/57 Balustrade about 50 metres west of
Dodington House

Balustrade in 3 sections. Early C19. Limestone with vermiculated sandstone
plinth. Central section about 30 metres long, 2 outer sections about 3 metres
long, all about one metre high. Central balustrade divided into 5 sections by
pedestals with recessed panels to front and rear, shaped top, moulded coping over
balusters, outer balustrades of one section each with similar pedestal to each
side. Forms important feature of main approach to west front of Dodington House
(q.v.).
