No 1 adjoins No 2 Church Street, forming important corner opposite the Town
Hall. Stuccoed, hipped slate roof with old brick chimneys, 3 storeys, 2
shop windows on ground floor and 3 sash windows on each upper floor. Early
C19.
Nos 1 to 7 Hide Hill are actually on the North side of Woolmarket (No 7 Hide
Hill adjoins No 1 Woolmarket). The numbering is confusing but the addresses
are correct.
