Northern gateway to precinct of Carmelite Friary. C15. Brick with ashlar dressings. Plain tile roof. North side of two storeys in elevation, but not in interior. Stilted stone arch with double hollow-chamfered arch and a hood on labels. Stone quoins. String course at first floor below three ashlar niches with wave-moulded arches, the central one raised higher on a pedestal and given a cusped ogee head. Parapet. South side is plain: hollow-chamfered stilted arch below sloping plain tiled roof.
