Built in 1848 by William West,a mining engineer. Two ranges at right
angles forming the north and east sites of a yard. Built of stone rubble,
the north range rendered, with slate roofs with gable ends. The end wall
of the east building is semicircular. Various windows and entrances,
the north building having segmental arch entrance. Involved in the manufacture
of mining, melting, waterworks and railway machinery.
